If you mother is anything like mine, there is no hope of her ever changing her ways. Tell you daughter tactfully and lovingly that gradma has a bit of a problem and let it go at that. If your daughter asks more, tell her only as little as possible and don't make it out so serious. Our generation has been educated past this sort of thing. Be thankful that you are educated beyond this. Handle mom with as much TLC as you can muster. Always remember that it is those who irritate us the most that need our love the most. And if we love only the lovable, what have we done. It is giving our love and kindness to those whe appear less than lovable that challenge us into learning the compassion of real love. Always remember that mom's behavior is not about you, it is about her. You are a powerful, spiritual, divine being. Claim it and teach it to your daughter.
