Th key here is to communicate. You have to practice talking until you get to the point where you don't chicken out. Think about it: what is there to chicken out about. The fear of rejection. When you chicken out you assure rejection. So talk. In a college experiment, a freshman was assigned the task of talking to as many girls as he could each day. A report was to be kept on his improvement in his talking skills. He improved greatly. And in his senior year, he had dated more girls than any other guy in the school. Soooooo, talking is the best thing to learn and confronting you fear of talking is the start. Just do it. It is only your imagination that is holding you back. So imagine that you are the best talker and the best catch just before you talk. And always keep in mind that other people pick up on subtle cues that reveal what we are imagining. So if you are imagining you are inferior, it will show. If you imagine you are the best, it will show....subtley. They will pick up on it. Build you confidence.
