My wife is very outgoing and friendly, she is also very flirtatious, which at time becomes an issue. I suspected a few years back of her having an affair but she has always vehemently denied this. Last weekend we discovered one of our neighbors to our vacation home had had an affair ongoing for some time and now was in the throes of it ending. My wife and her had spoke in the past but never anything real close. Suddenly now she has become this woman's confidant and calls and e-mails her several times a week. The night she found out she spent hours talking and hugging with her, even offered to spend the night with her and sleepwalked for the first time in 27 years we've been together. She says she is just trying to give comfort but to me it almost seems like total empathy. Am I reading too much into this or do you think there might be a deeper rooted reason for this obsession? Is she relating so well because she has lived the same turmoil?
