Talk with your mom in a mutual inviroment (sorry if my spelling stinks!) Right off the bat take charge of the conversation- do not let her control it. This talk is on your terms, not hers. Let her know that you will not accept being made to feel inferior. Allow her to speak her mind at the end of what you have to say, but if she starts yelling throughout your time to talk, stand up and leave. If she is going to control the conversation, you will just get hurt. I hope this helps you, but go with your gut instint, it's usually right. Oh, and let your daughter know about your relationship, although for a 12 year old, sugar it a bit. J
