You are at the age where your whole universe is you. Your attntion is mostly on yourself and your feelings. And this is pretty normal for someone your age. BUT: it is possible for you to grow. And with this growth, it is possible for you to begin to develop empathy skills. Empathy develops when we begin to look into the feelings of others and to take the time to witness thesituations and become part of the solution. Give of yourself to your family--lovingly. This is true character building. A mature adult soon needs to learn that sacrafice and the giving of ourself is our greatest resourse in family and relationships. This is how we build character and virtue. I know that this is hard when you are young. But research has shown that the more attention we spend on our self, the more miserable we become. The more we give of ourselves to others, the happier we become. This is the blueprint of human nature. So give of yourself, you time, your energy and you will emerge as evolved and happy. Sound like a load of crap doesn't it? But it is true. Explore our New Thought and Emotional Literacy links. There is a lot to learn in these fields. These tools will raise the quality of your life experience and carry you through life with the skills necessary to develop your true potential. Good luck on your journey.
